Hildy Homes is an ENERGY STAR partner and has the ability to build energy star qualified homes. ENERGY STAR qualified homes offer greater efficiency and savings. These homes take ENERGY STAR to the next level, with features throughout the home that contribute to optimum energy efficiency.

There are six defining features to an ENERGY STAR qualified home:

• Effective insulation in the floors, walls and attic: Hildy Homes is able to meet and exceed the energy star requirements by installing blown-in insulation rather than roll insulation. Blown-in insulation will fill all voids and gaps that typical roll insulation will still have.
• High-performance, energy-efficient windows: Hildy Homes only uses energy star rated windows. These windows will have Low E insulating double pane glass with an argon fill.
• Tight construction and ducts to seal the home: All gaps in the ”shell” of the home will be sealed to reduce moisture, drafts, dust, fine particulates and noise. All ducts are sealed with metal tape to prevent any leakage.
• Efficient heating and cooling equipment: Hildy uses only 92% efficient Lennox furnaces with 13 SEER Lennox air conditioning systems.
• Energy-efficient products like appliances and ventilation fans: All appliances provided by Hildy will meet Energy Star requirements.
• Independent verification that the home is ENERGY STAR qualified: All Energy Star homes are required to be inspect and certified by an Energy Star rater. This ensures that the home is truly Energy Star approved.
